Priorities
Priorities
As a candidate for the Roseville Area School District School Board, I am committed to ensuring that every student has access to a high-quality education that prepares them for success in today’s ever-evolving society. I believe that education thrives when students, families, and teachers come together to create a supportive and inclusive environment.
My priorities include:
Protecting Special Education Services: Advocating for the resources and support necessary to ensure that every student’s unique needs are met.
Empowering Teachers: Supporting educators with the tools, autonomy, and inclusive curriculum they need to foster diverse and equitable classrooms.
Championing Equity: Protecting the rights and well-being of all students, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender identity, citizenship status, abilities, or religious background.
Advocating for Immigrant and LGBTQIA2S+ Communities: Striving to create schools where all students and families feel safe, seen, heard, and valued.
Prioritizing Mental Health and Well-Being: Ensuring that students receive the mental health resources they deserve to flourish academically and personally.
Community Engagement: Involve families and students in important decision-making processes, ensuring that they play a pivotal role in creating transparent board policies and funding priorities that are reflective of the community's needs and values.
By focusing on these areas, I aim to create an educational system that uplifts every student and prepares them for a bright future. Together, we can build a community where education is a shared commitment and every child has the opportunity to succeed.
About Me
Since 2018, my husband, Bill, and I have proudly called Roseville, MN our home. Moving here with our children is one of the best decisions we have made as we have found a wonderful community.
As a proud advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion, I am committed to ensuring that every student in our community has access to a high-quality education. I believe that education is a powerful tool that can change the trajectory of people's lives, and I am dedicated to creating opportunities for all students to succeed.
As a first-generation college student and immigrant to this country, I understand the importance of creating pathways to access and opportunities for all. I am passionate about helping individuals reach their fullest potential by engaging with the community, analyzing policies, and advocating for equitable solutions. I have a master's degree in Public Affairs and Human Rights, and a bachelor's degree in Human Resource Development from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities.
I’m a mother of two neurodivergent children in the Roseville school district and have experienced firsthand the incredible support and sense of community that our educators provide. I am committed to ensuring that all families in Roseville have access to the same level of support and resources.
I am running for the Roseville Area School Board because I want to continue to build on the strengths of our community and create a bright future for all students. Together, we can make a difference!
